Reservations

The Reservation List shows stock that is spoken for. One row is one reservation line: an item, a quantity, the warehouse it is held in, and the document that reserved it.

Default Columns

Column	Description
Reservation Type	Warehouse for stock reserved where it lies, Inflow for stock reserved against something still arriving.
Item Code	The item reserved.
Item Name	Its description.
UoM	The unit the quantities are in.
Warehouse	The warehouse the stock is held in.
Batch Number	The batch, where the item is batch-managed.
Bin Code	The bin, where the warehouse is bin-managed.
Quantity	The quantity reserved.
On Hand	The quantity physically there.
Set Quantity	The quantity set.
Qty Picked	How much has already been picked.
Orig. Reserved Qty	The quantity originally reserved.
Document Date	The date of the reserving document.
Base Doc Entry	The document that reserved the stock.
Base Line Num	The line within that document.
Base Line Num 2	The second-level line.
Doc Entry	The reservation's own document entry.
Link Type	What the reservation is linked to.

Opening a line shows it in three sections.

General

Examples

Stock that is on hand and still not available. On Hand and Quantity answer different questions: the first is what is in the warehouse, the second is how much of it is already promised. A shortage report that disagrees with the warehouse is usually reading one where it meant the other.

A reservation against something not yet delivered. Reservation Type distinguishes them: Warehouse is stock that exists, Inflow is stock that is expected. An inflow reservation disappearing is not stock vanishing — it is a delivery that did not arrive.

Picked but not gone. Qty Picked counts what has been taken against the reservation, while Orig. Reserved Qty keeps what was reserved to begin with. Comparing the two shows a partly served reservation, which is what usually explains a document that looks half-open.
