Input by Sample
Input by Sample is the result-entry page of a QC order, organised by sample. The upper grid lists the samples of the order; select one and the lower grid shows its measurement positions — one row per check of the inspection plan — ready to take the measured value, the valuation and the block reason. Open it from the QC Orders list: select exactly one order and press Input by Sample in the grid toolbar (the button is enabled only while one order is selected). The page has no Edit or Save button. Each change is saved the moment you leave the cell, and the row comes back with what was stored.
The two grids sit one above the other. Drag the divider between them to give either more room.
Samples
One row per sample of the order. The first sample is selected when the page opens; select another to load its positions below. The Open and Errors counts refresh after every saved change.

| Released | The release stage as a badge: Open, First Release or Released. |
An order that has no samples yet shows This QC order has no samples yet. in place of the grids.
Release
Release appears in the grid toolbar only while the selected sample is at First Release and the order is open. Press it and confirm Release sample … (Release 2)? Values can then no longer be changed. The sample becomes Released and its values are locked. The release is refused, with the reason shown, when the order is closed, when the sample is not at First Release, or when the inspection plan requires an Electronic Signature — that release is only possible in the desktop client.
Measurement positions
One row per check of the inspection plan for the selected sample. Enter the value, choose the valuation and the block reason, and tick OK or Released where the row allows it. Each change is saved when you leave the cell; a change the server refuses is reported and the cell returns to its stored value.

| Valuation | The valuation of this result, chosen from the QC Valuations. Clear the field to remove it. |
| Block reason | Why the result is blocked, chosen from the QC Blockage Reasons. A reason with Release Block set stops the position from being released. |
| OK | Whether the result passes. For a Measurement the box follows the value — ticked when it lies between Min and Max, cleared otherwise; a position with both limits at 0 has no tolerance and any value passes. You can tick or clear the box by hand only on positions whose plan position has Manual OK set and that are not yet released. Clearing OK also withdraws an existing release. |
| Released | The release of this single position. The box is enabled once OK is ticked. The user who releases must differ from the user who entered the value (four-eyes principle); a position with Auto-release on the plan releases itself the moment its result is OK. Clear the box to withdraw the release. |
Once the selected sample reaches First Release or Released, or the order is closed, the grid takes no more changes and a strip above it says so: This sample is released — values are read-only. or This QC order is closed — values are read-only. Re-opening a released sample is done in the desktop client.
Examples
The Released box stays grey. It becomes available only once OK is ticked. For a Measurement position that means a Value between Min and Max. For an Attribute or Text position, or for a value outside the limits that is acceptable all the same, OK has to be ticked by hand — which the plan position must allow with Manual OK. Without it the box stays as the server derived it.
The save was refused with "Four-eyes principle". The user who entered the value cannot also release the position. A colleague ticks Released, or — where the plan allows it — the position carries Auto-release, so an OK result releases itself without a second person.
The sample locked itself after the last value. When every position marked Relevant is OK and released, none carries a block reason with Release Block, and — where the plan sets the sample Valuation to Mandatory — every relevant position is valued, the sample moves to First Release as soon as that change is saved, and the grid stops taking input. Release in the Samples toolbar then completes the final release; when the plan's sample Release is Automatically, the sample goes straight to Released.
