To define which databases are going to be part of the InterCompany setup go to Administration à Add-Ons à B1 InterCompany à Database Configuration.

The configuration defined here enables the service module to log into the databases and perform transactions in the background.

ConfigurationDbConfig

Click on the ‘‘Add’’ button and choose the database in the database drop-down

Then enter the SBO username that you have allocated for the B1 InterCompany and add the password for that SBO user, as well as license server, license server port and database type.

In order to check if the connection has been established mark the database row and click on the ‘’Test’’ button to check if the connection is up and running.

Use the Remove button if you wish to delete the connection.

NOTE: It is best to use an SBO user, who never changes password or else this step is needed to be redone when password is changed.

IMPORTANT: We recommend creating a dedicated SBO user in each database to have full traceability on every transaction.

This is a prerequisite for faster troubleshooting and support.

It is possible to use an Indirect Access User license for the dedicated SBO user.

IMPORTANT: When changing databases use the ‘’Remove’’ button and then ‘’Add’’ a new connection. Do not change the database in an existing configuration.
