If documents have not been transferred/created there are two log functionalities were you can establish the reasons why the transferal has not taken place.

The log menu

In the Log form, it is possible to see all the events that have been triggered in the system and the results thereof.

The error log can be found under Administration à Add-ons à B1 InterCompany à Log

In the drop-down menu ‘’System’’ it is possible to see events for all databases or for one which can make it easier if you are working with multiple databases.

Then in the drop-menu ‘’Type’’ it is possible to select what type of events you want to see. You have the option to select: All, Error, Ignored, New, and Success.

The log gives information of in which company the error occurred, error messages, key-types with DocEntry, item number and business partner numbers, timestamp, and transaction type.

By right clicking on each row you get three options:

Rerun – this will rerun the event

Hide – this will hide the row

Go to business object – this will go directly to marketing document or master data.

IMPORTANT: It is recommended to use internal messages and/or check the log regularly for errors, as the data flow may be influenced by other changes in the system, causing a previously working flow to stop working.

The file log

For more advanced debugging the service log can be used. This contains more information about background-service and transactions.

The default location for this log is C:\logs\B1Intercompany.Service\B1Intercompany.Service.log but can be changed in the B1Intercompany.Service.exe.config found in the directory where the service is installed as noted on the page about Service Configuration.

IMPORTANT: Any support tickets regarding errors sent to Boyum will benefit from including the file log.
